TopScan has received the PIV certification from the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and complies with the FBI IAFIS IQS specifications. It is also able to save images at 1000 dpi.

TopScan can be used as a single imaging device for fingerprints, or in combination with the FxISO SDK development software. FxISO SDK.

The TopScan FG version (FingerGuide) is equipped with a graphical LED interface that signals to the user the finger to be acquired and the quality of acquisition (green, orange and red colors).

TopScan is a fingerprint scanner for professional applications; in this market segment it is now universally required, in order to maximize accuracy and interoperability, that the scanner has a sensitive area of at least 1 inch x 1 inch, a resolution of 500 dpi and a geometric distortion of less than 1%. TopScan, designed to achieve maximum accuracy and interoperability, acquires images that comply with the FBI PIV quality specifications, Appendix F of the FBI IAFIS IQS. It can scan images at 500dpi and 1000dpi (non-interpolated native).

TopScan driver also provides a TWAIN and WIA interface that enables the acquisition of fingerprint images through any software that supports this standard interface. Once installed, TopScan can be selected as a TWAIN and WIA image source from any application that supports the TWAIN and WIA interface.
